Often feel out of control – service is unpredictable; has low dependability

Service often does not exist when needed – or – must prioritize available service for critical needs thus eliminating potential for health based activities,    entertainment, social activities, church, etc.

WANT a sense of freedom, control, and independence: NORMAL

Willing to pay more for this sense of independence

Want options, choice – and to understand choices/options

Little collaboration and/or coordination

There is more of a challenge in urban areas than in rural areas (more connection to a support system/network)Work of the project looking for–what can we imagine that bring:

Confidence, Communication, Coordination, Capacity, Choice.

Build the highest potential for a person with disability having an operating arena that would seem NORMAL to any of us.
